The Good Lions is building

The Good Society

Through The Good Society and each Good Lions Lodge, we instill our Core Values: Generosity, Fraternity, Education and Society.

Drawing on the wisdom and vision of the prophetic tradition of the Hebrew Bible, we come together promoting the common good, positively impacting the community social welfare, morale and unity.

Local lodges are empowered to contribute to the building of our society in their unique way -- through supporting the veteran community, Judean wisdom, music, education, social support, philanthropy, and many other ways.

The Good Lions is a non-political, non-sectarian fraternity. To be accepted as a member, one must be an American citizen, believe in God, affirm our values, be of good moral character and be at least 21 years old.

"We need a moral revolution"

Capturing both the lion's powerful roar and the protective refuge of safety, the Good Lions is inspired by the powerful biblical imagery of the lion - representing strength, protection, leadership, and voice.

Our name evokes Joel 4:16, which states: "The Lord will roar from Zion and shout aloud from Jerusalem; the earth and the heavens will tremble. But the Lord will be a refuge for his people, a stronghold for the people of Israel." The Good Lions embodies this duality by building The Good Society based on the powerful ideas of the Prophets of the Hebrew Bible and promoting the common good through caring fellowship, education and generosity.
